"Hi, I'm Amélie — Belgian by birth, Madrileña by choice. I moved to Madrid three years ago with my husband and our three teenagers, and it feels like the natural conclusion of a lifelong love affair with travel and culture. My journey started early — childhood trips with my parents sparked a curiosity that never left me. I went on to study in California, did my Erasmus in Galicia, and spent years crisscrossing Latin America through my career in organic food sales. It was in Argentina that one of my most vivid travel memories was made: sitting around a fire at dusk on an estancia, sharing a proper asado with locals, mate in hand, the smell of woodsmoke in the air — one of those moments where you realise travel is not about sightseeing, it's about belonging. That professional background in organic food also gave me something most travellers don't have: a deep understanding of local producers, food culture and sustainable practices across Spain and Latin America.
