Background
My story
I’m originally from Costa Rica, a small country known for its incredible biodiversity and deep connection with nature. Growing up there shaped the way I see the world — with curiosity, appreciation for culture, and a strong love for the outdoors, adventure, and the ocean. My relationship with travel started early. At 16, I began traveling solo to neighboring Nicaragua, discovering how empowering and transformative it could be to explore the world independently. Since then, travel has become a central part of my life. Over the years I’ve explored many parts of the world, including a six-month solo journey across the Middle East and South Asia, visiting places like India, Bahrain, Egypt, Sri Lanka, and Jordan. Those experiences taught me that the most meaningful trips are the ones that go beyond simply seeing a destination — they’re about connecting with a place, its culture, and the people who live there. At the same time, I also believe there’s something incredibly special about experiencing the world’s iconic landmarks in person. Places like the Taj Mahal, Petra, or the Pantheon are famous for a reason, and standing in front of them can be unforgettable. For me, the best trips are the ones that find the balance between those must-see moments and the unexpected discoveries along the way. Today I live on the island of Roatán in the Honduran Caribbean, home to the second largest coral reef system in the world. Living here has deepened my connection to the ocean and adventure. I’m a certified scuba diver and a certified yoga teacher, and both practices influence the way I approach travel — seeking balance between exploration, culture, nature, and meaningful experiences. Because of my background, I enjoy designing many different kinds of trips. Some journeys lean into adventure — something that comes naturally from growing up in Costa Rica. Others focus on cultural immersion, wellness experiences like yoga or diving, or simply slowing down and reconnecting with nature. And sometimes the perfect trip is a little more indulgent: a beautiful cruise, a luxury resort, or a relaxing all-inclusive escape. Becoming a travel advisor felt like a natural extension of my journey. I love helping others design trips that feel personal, balanced, and unforgettable — combining adventure, culture, iconic sights, and moments of pure enjoyment along the way. For me, travel isn’t just about seeing the world. It’s about experiencing it fully. Philosophy
My approach
When I help someone plan a trip, I usually try to find the right balance for them. I love cultural immersion and off-the-beaten-path experiences, but I also believe the famous places are famous for a reason. Standing in front of the Taj Mahal, walking through Petra, or seeing historic landmarks like the Pantheon is part of the magic of traveling. At the same time, I like leaving space for the unexpected moments that often become the most memorable parts of a trip — a small café you find by accident, a local recommendation, or a place that wasn’t even on the original itinerary. Because I grew up in Costa Rica and now live on a Caribbean island, adventure and nature are a big part of how I see travel. I’m always excited about things like exploring nature, being in the ocean, diving, or discovering new landscapes. But I also know that sometimes the perfect trip is simply about enjoying beautiful places and relaxing — whether that means a great hotel, a cruise, or an all-inclusive by the beach. At the end of the day, I try to design trips that feel balanced, personal, and exciting — the kind of journeys where you see the highlights of a destination but also experience the moments that make it truly special.
