Seceda is one of the most iconic viewpoints in the Dolomites, known for its dramatic jagged ridgeline dropping into green alpine pastures with the Odle/Geisler peaks as a backdrop; the hike itself is fairly easy once you’re up top, mostly flat ridge walking with big rewards for minimal effort. To do it, base yourself in Ortisei or Santa Cristina in Val Gardena, take the cable car up from Ortisei to skip the steep climb, then walk 15–30 minutes to the main viewpoint (or continue further along the ridge for a longer route); it’s best done June–September, and going early or at sunrise helps you beat the crowds.
