My San Francisco experience was one of the journeys that shaped the way I look at travel. I explored the city by walking through different areas, using BART and buses, and discovering both iconic landmarks and cultural places.
During my trip, I visited the Golden Gate Bridge, Asian Art Museum, Port of San Francisco and Hard Rock Cafe. Each place gave me a different perspective on the city. The Golden Gate Bridge reflected the iconic identity of San Francisco, while the Asian Art Museum offered a rich cultural and historical experience that was especially meaningful for me as an archaeologist.
The Port of San Francisco allowed me to observe the connection between the city, the waterfront and local life. Hard Rock Cafe added a lively and enjoyable experience connected to music, social life and international travel culture.
I also explored places outside San Francisco, including Jack London’s Cabin in Oakland, Monterey and Carmel. Jack London’s Cabin was an inspiring historical and literary stop, while Monterey and Carmel gave me the opportunity to experience California’s beautiful coastal atmosphere, peaceful landscapes and charming local character.
As an archaeologist and travel advisor, this journey helped me understand how travel can combine history, culture, museums, local life, nature and personal discovery. It also showed me that a meaningful trip does not always have to be expensive. With smart planning, public transportation, walking routes and carefully selected destinations, travelers can enjoy rich and memorable experiences in a budget-friendly way.
I now use this perspective to support travelers who want personalized travel plans that go beyond standard tourism. I can help create journeys focused on cultural discovery, historical places, museums, local experiences, coastal routes and affordable travel tips.
My goal is to help travelers not only visit a destination, but truly understand it, feel it and create meaningful memories.
