Indian citizens traveling to the Maldives for tourism do not need to apply for a visa in advance. A free 30-day visa on arrival is granted at Velana International Airport (Malé), provided travelers have a valid passport (6+ months), confirmed return tickets, hotel booking confirmation, and submit the IMUGA Traveler Declaration form within 96 hours of arrival.
Documents Required for On-Arrival Visa:
Passport: Valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival.
Return/Onward Tickets:
Confirmed proof of booking.Accommodation: Proof of booking in a registered tourist facility (hotel, guesthouse, or resort).
Funds: Evidence of sufficient funds (e.g., bank statements) to cover expenses, often recommended at $50 to $100 per day.
Complete an IMUGA Traveler Declaration form, on the IMUGA portal, maximum of 96 hours before your flight.
