I'm half nicaraguan and I've been a good amount of times. a hidden gem is corn island if you're looking for a relaxing not to adventurous family vacation or a romantic retreat. its in the carribean coast with blue water, beautiful beaches, and fresh seafood. there's a variety of things to do like riding atvs around the island, finding beaches, eating by the water, and just overall relaxing and taking it all in.
if your looking for something tropical and more off the beaten path this definitely covers it and this is my experience on the island and things id recommend you know before going.
