Background

My story

✈️ About — Alma Libre Travel Agency Some people visit the world. I chose to live it. My name is Andia. I grew up in the French Alps, studied international business in Paris, and then did what most people only dream about — I left. A full year through Latin America, with a backpack, an open heart, and no fixed plan. I volunteered in remote communities, helped build homes, shared meals with strangers who became friends. I didn't just travel through those places — I became part of them. One moment, above all, stayed with me. Deep in Peru, I had one goal: reach the Amazon. Not the tourist trail — the real thing. After searching, I found a tiny local agency bringing just a handful of visitors each year to a remote island where an indigenous community still lived. What I witnessed there quietly broke my heart open. The children — bright-eyed, curious, already aware of the outside world through their screens and their questions. And the elders, sitting with their memories, their rituals, their stories — watching a world change faster than they could hold on to. It was the most honest, humbling travel experience of my life. It shaped everything I believe about what travel should be: not a performance, not a highlight reel, but a genuine encounter with the world as it actually is. That conviction became the foundation of everything I built next. At Alma Libre Surf Camp in Hossegor, I didn't just run a surf camp — I created a place people didn't want to leave. I remember a group of solo travelers who arrived not really knowing each other, a little hesitant, a little outside their comfort zone. By the end of the week, they were sharing meals, swapping surf tips, and making plans to come back together the following year. That wasn't an accident. It was the result of every small detail being thought through — the right local guides, the right rhythm between activity and rest, the right atmosphere where strangers feel safe enough to open up. For years, Alma Libre Surf Camp was recognized as one of the best in Hossegor, built entirely on the quality of the experience and the loyalty of guests who kept coming back. That same spirit carried through to Ericeira, Portugal, where I managed a surf house and learned a new coastline, a new culture, and new ways of making travelers feel genuinely at home. Alma Libre Travel Agency is the natural next chapter. And here's what makes it different from every other agency you could choose. Most travel agencies sell you a destination. They put together a package, hand you a PDF, and wish you well. What I do is something else entirely. I speak five languages. I've lived on two continents. I've negotiated directly with local guides in the Amazon, found hidden restaurants in the back streets of Italian villages, and learned which surf break to visit depending on the swell and the kind of surfer you are. I don't build itineraries from behind a desk — I build them from lived experience, genuine relationships with local partners, and an obsessive attention to detail that means nothing is left to chance. Whether you're dreaming of a raw adventure — off-the-beaten-path destinations, deep local immersion, the kind of travel that shifts something in you — or a beautifully curated luxury experience where every detail is thought through and comfort comes first, I design both with the same level of care. Because at Alma Libre, there are no tricks, no shortcuts, no half-measures. When I hand you a trip, I've already thought of everything so you don't have to. So let me ask you this — what's the journey you've been dreaming of? The place you keep coming back to in your mind. The trip you've been putting off, waiting for the right moment. The experience you want to be truly unforgettable, not just another holiday. Tell me. Let's design it together — one that feels like it was made just for you. Welcome to Alma Libre. Your journey starts here.

Philosophy

My approach

🗺️ How I Plan Your Trip No templates. No guesswork. No surprises. Every journey starts with a conversation — because before I book anything, I want to understand how you travel. Your pace, your non-negotiables, what you're running towards and what you want to leave behind. From there, I take care of everything. Accommodation, transport, guides, activities, timing, pacing — researched, vetted and confirmed. I work exclusively with local partners I trust, people who open doors that simply aren't available through a standard agency. Hidden restaurants, private guides, experiences that never make it onto a booking platform. What you receive isn't just an itinerary. It's a journey designed to stay with you — the kind that shifts your perspective, reconnects you with what matters, and leaves you returning home with stories you'll still be telling years from now. Over the years, I've had the privilege of creating experiences for travellers who had high expectations and trusted me to meet them. They came back. They sent their friends. That's the metric I'm most proud of. I bring over a decade of firsthand travel experience across four continents, fluency in five languages, and an obsessive attention to detail that means nothing is left to chance. No shortcuts. No filler. Every element of your trip chosen with intention. You dream it. I build it. You live it. — Trusted by discerning travellers who believe the best trips aren't found. They're crafted.

EUROPEAN SUMMER The Ultimate Insider Tour — Marseille · Rome · Naples · Athens · Barcelona · Lisbon

🌞 THE PHILOSOPHY Forget the postcard version. This is the real Europe. Not the Europe of selfie queues and 12-euro cocktails. The Europe of early mornings at a local market, of swimming in hidden coves, of eating where nobody speaks your language but everyone makes you feel at home. This itinerary takes you through six of the Mediterranean's most alive destinations — but always through the back door. Each stop was chosen for the same reason: the city has a soul, and just outside it, there's a coastline, a village or a way of life that most tourists never find. That's exactly where we're going.

RIO DE JANEIRO The Ultimate 10-Day Guide

BrasilRio de JaneiroLuxury travelEco-tourism
🌊 WELCOME TO RIO Rio de Janeiro is not a city you visit. It is a city that happens to you. The mountains plunge into the sea. The forest creeps into the city. The music finds you whether you're ready or not. In ten days, you'll have time to feel it all — the raw energy of the favelas, the quiet luxury of Ipanema at sunrise, the vertigo of standing on top of the world at Corcovado, and the slow pleasure of a caipirinha with your feet in the sand as the sun goes down over the Atlantic. This guide was written by someone who lives here. No filler. No tourist traps. Just Rio, as it really is.
