Background

My story

My path to becoming a travel adviser began with a simple frustration: travel should feel exciting, not confusing. Over time, I saw how many travellers were left overwhelmed by poor guidance, generic recommendations, and advice that failed to reflect their real needs, budget, timing, or destination. Too often, travel advisers offered the same standard suggestions without truly understanding the traveller or the realities of the places they wanted to visit. What shaped me most was seeing how difficult it could be to get reliable travel advice for certain regions of the world. Some destinations were overlooked, poorly explained, or treated with uncertainty by advisers who lacked real understanding of routes, visa considerations, cultural differences, or practical travel challenges. In some cases, travellers were given incomplete information. In others, they were discouraged altogether, not because travel was impossible, but because the adviser did not have the depth of knowledge or commitment to guide them properly. I came to realise that poor advice does more than inconvenience people; it can cost them time, money, confidence, and valuable opportunities. I also had my own experiences with ineffective travel guidance. I encountered advisers who were slow to respond, vague in their recommendations, and more focused on selling what was easy than advising what was right. Those experiences showed me the difference between simply booking travel and truly advising a traveller. A good travel adviser should do more than process an itinerary. They should listen carefully, anticipate challenges, provide clarity, and create confidence. That is what led me into travel advisory work. I wanted to offer something better: thoughtful guidance, honest insight, and a service built around the traveller rather than the transaction. My approach is professional, practical, and personalised. I believe every journey deserves careful planning, clear communication, and advice that reflects both the destination and the person travelling there. Whether someone is travelling to a well-known destination or a region where trustworthy advice is harder to find, my goal is to make the process smoother, smarter, and more reassuring. Today, I help travellers move forward with confidence. I bring a strong commitment to detail, a respect for different destinations and cultures, and a genuine desire to make travel more accessible, more informed, and more meaningful. For me, becoming a travel adviser was not just about entering an industry. It was about solving a problem I had seen too often and becoming the kind of adviser travellers can truly rely on.

Philosophy

My approach

I plan travel with purpose, balance, and attention to detail. My approach is to create journeys that are inspiring, seamless, and genuinely memorable, combining iconic highlights with authentic local experiences that many travellers overlook. I focus on comfort, timing, value, and the small details that elevate a trip from ordinary to exceptional. Whether it is an adventure escape, a family holiday, or a refined luxury experience, I believe every itinerary should feel well considered, stress-free, and tailored to the traveller’s interests, pace, and goals. For me, great travel planning is not just about reaching a destination, but about creating an experience worth remembering.

Base yourself in Jindabyne for flexibility, dining, and value, or stay on-snow in Perisher Valley for convenience. Use Bullocks Flat and Skitube for the smoothest winter access. Spend your ski days across Smiggin Holes for beginners, Blue Cow for scenic intermediate runs, Guthega for quieter local-style laps, and Mt Perisher for bigger adventure. Include night skiing or Nordic trails for variety. Set aside time for Kosciuszko National Park, especially Mount Kosciuszko or Porcupine Rocks in the warmer months. Check snow, road, and park conditions daily, carry chains in winter, and avoid limiting your trip to Front Valley only.
