Go to Iceland in February?? You must be crazy!! Actually, it’s an amazing place to go during the winter.
First, you have an excellent chance to see the northern lights. When we were there in February, 2025, we took a tour to “chase ” the northern lights. Within 10 minutes of leaving Reykjavik, the bus stopped and the night sky was lit up.
How about going to a frozen lake to go dog sledding? The dogs are so sweet and friendly (and they are all related). Each team only goes out once a day.
The most amazing thing we did was going snowmobiling on top of a glacier. Scary, exhilarating and a huge rush!
